Important! OJD FED Notice Update
To Our Valued Associations and Members,
The state has once again updated the Rent Assistance Notice that must be included with any Notice of Termination for Nonpayment, unless the amount owed is solely for damage to the premises.
Because the Rent Assistance Notice is now two pages, ORHA will be removing the rent assistance language from the Notice of Termination with Cause (Form VT5) and Notice of Termination with Cause – Week-to-Week Tenancy (Form VT6). Going forward, the updated Rent Assistance Notice will automatically print with Forms VT5 and VT6 when purchased from the ORHA store.
For existing printed copies of Form VT5 and VT6, please be sure to inform your customers that if the notice is being used to collect money owed by a tenant (except for damage to the premises), the current Rent Assistance Notice must be included, or you may choose to print and provide it for them.
Please note that the Rent Assistance Notice printed on existing pads of the following forms is now obsolete:
- 13-Day Notice to Pay or Vacate for Nonpayment of Rent (Form VT1a)
- 10-Day Notice to Pay or Vacate for Nonpayment of Rent (Form VT2a)
- 72-Hour Notice to Pay or Vacate for Nonpayment of Rent – Week-to-Week Tenancies (Form VT3)
These forms may continue to be sold and used only if an updated Rent Assistance Notice is included with each notice served.
