Portland Mandatory Relocation Fee, Everything You Need to Know

Where? H230

Who? PAROA

You’ve probably heard by now, but on March 8th the Portland city council voted to make the Mandatory Relocation Ordinance a permanent fixture. They also removed the 1-unit exemption, added a list of 12 new / minor exemptions, and created forms that you are required to file with the Portland Housing Bureau. If you fail to comply with these new notice requirements the penalty is THREE (3) times the monthly rent. If you have a rental unit in Portland or are thinking of buying one then you really can’t afford to miss this class.
