She was a high school teacher for over 34 years in California and Oregon schools.

V & R Management, LLC has operated since 1990, specializing in single-family home rentals but they have managed all types of properties.

Violet is a past president of the Oregon Rental Housing Association, current chair of the ORHA Education Committee, and serves on the ORHA Legislative Action Committee.  Since 2008, she has taught property management classes for local and state housing provider associations.  In addition, she has volunteered to teach classes to help tenants become better residents.

Fair Housing

There are many federal, state, and local laws that outline the parameters landlords must follow to treat all applicants and tenants fairly when providing housing. The costs of failing to follow these parameters can be huge.

This course will review the historical perspectives that have shaped these laws, what laws must be followed, and the procedures and policies that need to be followed.
