Law and Rule Required Course 2022-23

(WEBINAR ONLY)

If you are a licensed real estate broker or property manager, you must complete the 3-hour Law and Rule Required Course (LARRC) If you are renewing an active license on or after 7/1/2022, this course must contain a Fair Housing component.
This course is for those renewing their license by December 31, 2023.
If you are renewing in 2024 or 2025, you do not take this course. The correct course will be offered later.

The topics covered include:

Fair Housing
Recent law changes
1. Fair housing laws
2. Advertising Rules Update
3. Seller’s agent to reject certain communication from buyer
4. Recent increase limits for affordable housing
5. Delay termination where there is application for rental assistance
6. Written notice of screening criteria
Other items may be covered as time permit

Speaker: Violet Wilson

Violet Wilson is the "V" in V & R Management. Violet is Oregon licensed and works full-time as a property manager. Violet holds a Bachelor of Arts in Science from San Jose State University and a Masters of Science in Education from Western Oregon University. She was a high school teacher for over 34 years in California and Oregon schools.

V & R Management, LLC has operated since 1990, specializing in single family home rentals but they have managed all types of properties.

Violet is a past vice president of Oregon Rental Housing Association, current chair of the ORHA Education Committee, and serves on the ORHA Legislative Action Committee. Since 2008, she has taught property management classes for local and the state housing provider associations. In addition, she has volunteered to teach classes to help tenants become better residents.
