What do you do if nature has wreaked havoc on your rental home? If there is a fire, flooding or a massive windstorm... Are you prepared? Would storm damage be considered your fault, tenants’ fault or just an Act of God? What is your responsibility as a landlord? If it wasn’t your fault, is it your responsibility to have your tenants stay in a hotel? So many questions can arise when stormy weather hits your hometown...
This course will go over multiple problems covered by natural disasters (windstorms, fire, floods, etc.), unnatural disasters (tenant caused destruction, cigarette fires, etc), along with what protections are available (remodeling the unit, insurance, etc.).
