The link will allow you to watch from your home or work computer, even your smart phone. A chat box will allow you to ask questions directly to the instructor.  There will not be a replay of this event.

**To receive CE credits you MUST attend the live webinar AND sign-in at the beginning of the webinar and at the end in the side bar as well as provide your RE license #.  You will be e-mailed your CE Credits within 7 days from end of webinar.

Instructors:  Emily Hammond and Glenda Moyer

*Emily Hammond is Central Oregon’s Education and Outreach Coordinator for the Fair Housing Council of Oregon. She has a Bachelors of Arts and Sciences from Quest University Canada, where her passion for examining and supporting the social determinants of health began when studying sociology and early childhood development. Her experience as a Doula deepened her understanding of the injustices and discrimination prevalent in the medical field and refined her teaching and advocacy skills. Now, at the Fair Housing Council of Oregon, Emily leverages her background to champion equitable housing practices and educate the community about fair housing rights and issues, continuing her drive to foster social justice and support marginalized groups.

 **Glenda Moyer is the Eastern Oregon Education and Outreach Coordinator and responds to the Housing Providers Hotline for the Fair Housing Council of Oregon. Glenda grew up in La Grande and raised her three children in La Grande. She attended Eastern Oregon University where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology/Anthropology with an emphasis in social welfare and criminal justice. Glenda has spent over 20 years working with people who have barriers that limit their access to obtaining safe and affordable housing.

Emily and Glenda will present fair housing information pertaining to the basics fair housing, deep dive into the protected class of disability and how that correlates with reasonable accommodation/modification, assistance animals, and barriers to the application process. In addition, they will cover the responsibility that housing providers have regarding harassment when related to protect class status.

  • Source of Income
  • Familial status
  • Addressing hate and harassment in rental housing
  • How fair housing laws are enforced
