Speaker: Violet Wilson
Violet Wilson is the "V" in V & R Management. Violet is Oregon licensed and works full-time as a property manager. Violet holds a Bachelor of Arts in Science from San Jose State University and a Masters of Science in Education from Western Oregon University. She was a high school teacher for over 34 years in California and Oregon schools.
V & R Management, LLC has operated since 1990, specializing in single-family home rentals but they have managed all types of properties.
Violet is the current president of the Oregon Rental Housing Association (ORHA), past-chair of the ORHA Education Committee, and serves on the ORHA Legislative Action Committee. Since 2008, she has taught property management classes for local and state housing provider associations. In addition, she has volunteered to teach classes to help tenants become better residents.
Housing Provider 102: Steps in getting a good tenant
This covers the laws and processes pertaining to tenancies, fair housing, reasonable accommodation and modifications, tenant screening and denials, and tenant agreements.
