Fifth Annual Palooza Seminar Recap
On May 15, 2026, the Oregon Rental Housing Association (ORHA) hosted its fifth annual Palooza seminar. ORHA includes a number of local associations, some with fewer than 100 members. Many of these groups encounter difficulties in raising sufficient funds to maintain their organizations. To address this, ORHA Board members generously volunteer their time and expertise to organize and present an all-day event intended to support and benefit these associations.

Collaboration with Klamath Rental Owner’s Association (KROA)
This year, the Klamath Rental Owner’s Association (KROA) partnered with ORHA to co-host the Palooza seminar. Tia Politi, a long-standing member of ORHA and chair of the ORHA Mentor Committee, led the committee in planning and delivering a variety of services during the event. The services offered included:

• Three landlord education classes
• A Q & A panel session
• Opportunities for attendees to earn up to six credit hours

Event Logistics and Sponsorship
Fifty-three individuals, including nine who attended virtually, participated.

KROA contributed significantly to the success of the event by arranging a suitable venue, securing sponsors for lunch and happy hour, and gathering donations for swag bags and door prizes.

Volunteers
Several volunteers dedicated their time to educating attendees during the seminar. The volunteer instructors included Tia Politi, Michele Hoak, Violet Wilson, and Vivian Colahan.

Other volunteers included Veda Bell who helped with check in and virtual students and Ben Seamans provided on -going support during organization of the event

Evaluations
Participant evaluations were collected to measure the effectiveness and impact of the seminar.

Presenters received high scores, and feedback for the event was overwhelmingly positive. Comments included: "Everyone was great," "Very good event," "I enjoyed everything," "Great seminar," "We are blessed to have the experience in our Association," "Good job putting on the event," "Everything was nicely organized," and "Great job everyone!"
